Hello Lundy Farm Retreat People!
It is pretty unbelievable that in about ONE month, we will be on this retreat together. Over the next few weeks, we will email you with all that you need to know. Frankly, if we transported you there right now, with no preparation, you would be perfect. But we know many of you like a solid list and get hot-n-bothered by a good box-checking to prepare for events like these. So, please find below some items in varying degrees of importance. We are sending this comprehensive list now because we know this is a time of year that might get particularly busy for many. Now you can return to this email as often as you wish.
1. BE SAFE: Most important, stay healthy. Obvious, yes. But I'm not above stating the obvious. The statistics, guidelines and protocols are continuing to work favorably for us. But, we are gathering unmasked and we ask that you use not just good, but great judgment, particularly in the 10 days before this event.
2. VACCINATION/PCR: (DUE NOW- JUNE 22. Email jamie@tootsieolan.com). If you are vaccinated, please send us a photo of your vaccination card between today and June 22nd (two weeks before the retreat which is when you need to have finished your vaccinations. If this does not sound familiar to you, please revisit our FAQ's here on this). Email photo of your vaccination card to jamie@tootsieolan.com . If you are not vaccinated, we will need a copy of your negative results of a PCR test taken within three days of retreat start (start date is July 6). Email this to jamie@tootsieolan.com. Please do not make us chase you for these important items. It is the least fun part of our job.
3. DIETARY RESTRICTIONS: (DUE NOW) If you have yet to do so, please fill out this form about food restrictions even if you have none. We sent this to you earlier this week and most of you completed. Our chef begins crafting the menus and sourcing ingredients now. We want to make sure you can enjoy the exquisite culinary experience of this retreat, which requires knowing and accommodating your restrictions. Meals will have options so that we provide for all. If you filled this out, ignore this #3 and nice work. We love you.
4. LIABILITY WAIVER: (DUE NOW- JUNE 10) As per all of our retreats, please sign this waiver and return by June 10th. Please do not make us chase you for these important items. It is the least fun part of our job.
5. BALANCE: (DUE NOW - JUNE 10) If you have not paid the balance of your retreat, it is due by Thursday, June 10th. Your balance info is included in the prior emails we sent you when you paid the deposit. If you already did so, thank you so much. You’re done. Go play. Please do not make us chase you for these important items. It is the least fun part of our job.
6. ALCOHOL: As per all of our retreats, alcohol is not included in retreat cost. For this one, as we are in a private estate, it is a BYOB, which is pretty fun. So! Bring your favorite wine, tequila, beer, vodka, alcohol-free spritzer. The chef will be pairing our dinners with a cocktail mixer that compliments the meal for you to mix with your alcohol, if you so choose. Otherwise, there is a wine and beer refrigerator where you can store your beverages of choice and any mixers, lemons, limes, herbs, fun you bring and prefer most.
7. SNACKS: You will be eating a lot. I love food. But if you are someone who likes bringing snacks or are a Just-In-Case-Er, there are full kitchens in both villas for you to store, cool or freeze whatever you want to bring.
8. PACK: You will be moving and likely sweating (you better be) three days in a row. Twice on Wednesday. You will want to pack workout clothes accordingly, assuming you will not wear items twice. Unless that’s how you roll.
A list is below. Obviously this is variable and weather dependent, but a list to begin for your mental + spiritual prep:

sneakers (needed for danceFLOORED)
yoga mat (+ yogi towel if you use one- towels help with sweat and sliding but it is a personal preference to use one). I like the brand yogi toes. Please bring your own yoga mat. Lundy Farms has mats + props but better to sweat on your own these days.
swimsuits
sweatshirts for post-sweat or chillier nights or cooler meditation mornings
extra shoes for hiking/biking. You will likely not want to wear your dance shoes. The hikes can be short and beautiful or longer and beautiful. But all are among the paths of the Hudson Valley forest.
pjs (it’s not that kind of retreat, kids)
flip flops to meander to yoga
water shoes. Maybe? I will be frolicking in that pond like a 7 year old but I'll probably just touch the gross bottom like a good camper. Maybe not.
toiletries including bug spray, sunscreen, flashlight (though not necessary might be fun)
sun hat/baseball cap
water bottle
this is a casual retreat. No need for stilettos and ball gowns here. Unless that’s your roll.

9. SWAG: We bring some (T) swag for browsing + purchasing. But if there is something you want to make sure you have or want to purchase, take a look here at the boutique and let us know. We will be sure to have it for you at the retreat. Please note: some retail is sold out (OG Charcoal + OG Blue Racerbacks, long sleeve off-the-shoulder charcoal tees. It's been a busy moment and inventory has been moving swiftly). You receive a 20% retreat discount on all retail!
10. TRAVEL: Please note that the entrance to Lundy Farm is 4.3 miles down Lundy Rd. You will likely lose service once you turn off 209 for that last leg of the trip, so make sure you download the directions on google or waze. There is WiFi once you arrive. Not because it is a selfish “me time” thing to do. Quite the contrary. Because when we take care of ourselves, we show up better to take care of others. We show up brighter + bolder to our lives with a trickle down + oozing sideways effect. And that’s our aspiration + inspiration here on this retreat. Taking care, digging deep + letting go. With a raging, roaring sidecar engine of FUN.
This retreat is a special one for me and perhaps for many of you. We have been through the unprecedented. We now get to create an experience for ourselves to realign + reignite us.
